Southwestern Mexican Food with Gluten Free Options at Cactus Like a lot of restaurants in Seattle restaurants Cactus has a gluten free menu. It is hard to find a place with a gluten free menu that also has food that tastes good dairy free. Mexican […]
Today I visited Nuflours for the first time on Capitol Hill in Seattle, Washington. The place is intimate and adorable. The staff are very helpful. They really know their stuff and are friendly to boot. They have a lot of options if you are gluten […]
There are tons of places that now offer gluten free menus in the greater Seattle area. Some are more successful in this endevor than others. I have yet to find one that didn’t have something I like though.
Here is a list of all of the places I have reviewed that are dedicated gluten free or have gluten free menus.
Please share any info you have about gluten free places you know of and trust in the comments or in the Facebook group. Thank you for any information you care to share!
Easy Wrap for Lunch or Breakfast This peanut butter and jelly with banana wrap is great for those kids who aren’t into meat, but need a little protein and fat to get through the day. As a wrap it is a more exciting version of […]
This gluten free and dairy free Italian chicken pasta will make you drool! My family loved it, including the four year old. She is hard to please so it must be good! She even ate the tomatoes, which pretty much never happens. It was quick […]
If you are super sensitive to gluten, Capitol Cider is the place for you! Their kitchen in 100% gluten free. Their cider is 100% gluten free. They also have a full bar that I do believe, is 100% gluten free. It is also a gorgeous space upstairs with booths and room for groups large and small. The downstairs is even more intimate. There are candles, a full bar, and a stage where there is often live music being performed. It is a great place for dinner with the family or a date night. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about the place.
It is located on Capitol Hill, hence the name, on Pike St. The parking is not awesome, but you can find a spot a couple blocks away. It is totally worth it for the food.
The menu is clearly labeled for other food sensitivities as well. It doesn’t even say gluten free on it, because everything is gluten free! They have lots of vegetarian options as well as a few vegan and dairy free options. The menu has both large and small plate options so it is easy to just have a light dinner or a full meal. They have gluten free vodkas and other spirits as well as their many ciders. They also have desserts and even dairy free desserts!
I got the lamb ribs and french fries. It was expensive, but it was amazing! The lamb and sauce was so delicious although the portions are small. The fries were amazing! I am a french fry fanatic so I do not say this lightly. They were hand cut potato fries, again 100% gluten free. We got a cider taster with three different kinds of English cider. It was alright. Admittedly cider isn’t really my thing and I don’t drink much in general. The cider tasted more like beer than most ciders I have tried and was definitely more bitter than I like. However, just the experience of trying it was worth the money.
Capitol Cider is not cheap. For the two of us, I went with my wonderful husband, it was almost $75 before tip and we didn’t order a crazy amount of food. However, if you are looking for a great date night place with food you won’t have to worry will send you to the bathroom later this is the place for you. I know that can be TMI, but let’s face it sometimes eating out is a nightmare. This place was like the best dream ever.
